A Decade of Growth

From a small founding team in Birmingham to a nationally recognised awarding organisation —�" here's how Nexqual grew.

2014

Founded

Nexqual was established in Birmingham with a clear mission: to make nationally recognised professional qualifications accessible to every learner across the UK.

2016

Ofqual Registration

Nexqual achieved full registration with Ofqual, placing our qualifications firmly on the Regulated Qualifications Framework and cementing national recognition.

2018

First 25 Approved Centres

Our network of approved training centres reached 25 across England, covering health, business, education and security sectors.

2020

Online Learning Launch

We expanded our delivery model to include fully online and blended learning — enabling thousands of learners to study through the pandemic and beyond.

2022

100+ Centres Milestone

Our approved centre network surpassed 100 organisations, spanning all regions of England with growing presence in Wales and internationally.

How We Protect Standards

Quality Assurance

Every Nexqual qualification is backed by a multi-layer quality assurance framework —�" because a certificate is only worth as much as the integrity behind it.

Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)

Every centre delivering Nexqual qualifications appoints trained Internal Quality Assurers who monitor assessment decisions, provide assessor support, and maintain evidence standards.

External Quality Assurance (EQA)

Nexqual assigns dedicated External Quality Assurers to each approved centre. EQAs conduct scheduled and unannounced visits, reviewing portfolios and verifying assessment integrity.

Ofqual Compliance

As a regulated awarding organisation, Nexqual complies fully with Ofqual's General Conditions of Recognition. We submit regular self-evaluations and are subject to Ofqual monitoring.

Malpractice & Maladministration Policy

A comprehensive policy framework protects the integrity of our qualifications — covering centre malpractice, learner appeals, and reasonable adjustments.

Continuous Review

Our qualifications are reviewed annually against sector standards, employer feedback, and regulatory requirements, ensuring they remain current, relevant, and respected.

Certificate Verification

Every Nexqual certificate carries a unique verification code. Employers and institutions can verify authenticity instantly through our online verification portal.

Priya oversees all quality assurance processes, manages Ofqual compliance, and leads a team of External Quality Assurers across our centre network.
